Many times, as I talk about here, parents tend to assume that most all instructors understand “the basics “, as I have heard it phrased often.
The phrase of “how the body works” is a simple way of saying that in order to really understand how someone swings a bat, one needs to have at minimum, some understanding as to how forces and movements are actually being created to move the bat.
What I am getting at is whether it’s a male or female the musculoskeletal system is essentially the same. And that means that whether it is a male or female, there are ways to utilize the form and function of the human body to swing a bat in a very effective manner.

So, here’s a simple question: How do you measure the effectiveness of a baseball hitting drill?
Pretty early on in my pursuit, I began to see and understand elite level swings by applying the kinds of concepts that I was familiar with and used as a trainer working with non-baseball athletes in developing effective baseball and softball hitting drills.
Ok, let’s start here: I think that the reason elite level hitter’s swing the bat really well has little to nothing to do with the kinds of cues that are commonly heard from Little League fields all the way to Major League Baseball.
I AM saying that I swing the bat much more like an elite level hitter as a 50 plus year old guy, compared to when I was a 20 year old guy.
