What's going on with the back leg here? Looks like something that might hinder hip rotation. Not something you would teach, right?

Curveball- could you expand on what you are seeing relative to Trout's back leg?  I took a quick look at the video and did not notice anything.

Here from the video, showing key frames. Note that this a 'skewed' angle video. It is not shot directly looking from the side or from behind, but is angled somewhat up the first base line.

(I have not done this in a while- I enjoy it, and hope to get some discussions going!)

Hey GoMets,

Just don't see the classic pivot up onto the toe. Is there full hip rotation there or does it even matter? George Springer comes to mind and there's probably a post or two on this site where Steve talks about this back hip/leg movement pattern.
